Ernest "Ernie" Beasley, 95, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 30, 2021 in Meadow Lakes of Mooresville. Ernie was born on January 30, 1926 in Indianapolis to the late Merritt and Ollie (Taylor) Beasley. He married Peggy Jean (Campbell) Beasley on February 4, 1948.

Ernie was a General Manager for J.O. Parrish Lumber in Shelbyville for 12 years before retiring in 1980. He was a hard working and honorable man. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII.

Ernie is survived by his wife of 73 years; 4 children: Dave Ernest Beasley of Boynton Beach, FL, Bob (Debbie) Beasley of Mooresville, Gary Beasley of Boynton, Beach, FL and Ron (Rodney) Beasley of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Ernie is preceded in death by his parents; 1 grandson, Curtis Beasley; 7 brothers: Zeke, Andy, Dick, John, Chuck, Babe, and Bill Beasley; and 1 sister, Lois Watson.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 11 am to 2 pm, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Bob Gray will officiate the celebration of life service at 2 pm in the Funeral Home. Ernie will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
