Obituary for Edna Mae Zipoff (Suhre)

Edna Mae (Suhre) Zipoff, 87, of Camby, IN passed away peacefully on January 30, 2020 in the Franciscan Hospice House. Edna was born in Indianapolis on July 21, 1932 to the late Russell A. and Veva G. (Pulliam) Suhre. Edna married Charles Steven "Chuck" Zipoff on July 1, 1950.

Edna was a 1950 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School. Although she was a proud homemaker she also worked for the U.S. Census Bureau as an interviewer for 25 years. She was a member of Grace Church. In her spare time she enjoyed arts, crafts, sewing and bicycling.

Edna is survived by four children: Sonia (Bill) Martin of OH, Steve (Trish) Zipoff of Camby, Russell (Chiew) Zipoff of FL, and David (Marya) Zipoff of Monrovia; twelve grandchildren: Rachel Bafaro, Melati Minter, Suzanne Zipoff, Andrew Zipoff, Nicholas Brown, Derek Brown, Zachary Zipoff, Joshua Zipoff, Sarah Zipoff, Andrew "S.P." Zipoff, Russell Zipoff II and David Zipoff; seven great grandchildren: Vivian Westenhofer, Annie Zipoff, Patrick Steven Zipoff, Sylvia Zipoff, Claire Minter, Joel Minter, and Grace Minter.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three sisters: Veva Anne Kuhn, Ruth Baugh, and Alice Hylton.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 5-8 p.m on Tuesday, February 4th and 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5th at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Jim Taylor will officiate the celebration of life service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5th in the Funeral Home. Edna will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery next to her husband, Chuck.
