Obituary for Donald "Mark" Laeufer

Donald "Mark" Laeufer, 68, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, November 16th, 2021. He was born August 18th, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio to his parents, Jack and Wilma (Anderson) Laeufer. He married Donna J. (Hill) Laeufer on November 19th, 1999. He was a previous resident of Lima, Ohio for 30 years and was a resident of Mooresville / Decatur area for most of his life.

Donald is survived his mother, Wilma (Anderson) Laeufer of Columbus Grove, Ohio; six children: Donald Mark (Christina) Laeufer II of Martinsville, Guy (Lauren) Laeufer of Carroll, Ohio, Nick (Julie) Wolfe of Philadelphia, Christina (Drew) Merritt of Indianapolis, Justin Lindgren of Indianapolis, and Nathan (Davina) Lindgren of Indianapolis; 21 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and one brother, Russell Laeufer of Fort Wayne. Donald is preceded in death by his father; and his wife, Donna J. Laeufer.

Donald was a 1971 graduate of Bluffton High School in Bluffton, Ohio. He was a Truck Driver for Teamsters #135 and Circle B Construction Labor Union Local #120. Donald was also a self employed driver for L & S Transport. He enjoyed coaching football and had the privilege of coaching his son, Donald. He also enjoyed Friday night football games. Donald grew up on the family farm in Columbus Grove, Ohio, where he was an avid trapper. He was a two sport athlete of Bluffton High School in Bluffton, Ohio. Donald was a hard working man and friend to all.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 12 pm (noon) to 1 pm on Saturday, November 20th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, November 20th at the funeral home. Donald will be laid to rest next to his wife, Donna, at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton.
