Obituary for Delbert F. Collins

Delbert F. Collins, 81, of Camby passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2015. He was born to Donald Earl and Mabel B. (Kiser) Collins on May 18,1933 in Indianapolis.

Delbert was an Army Korean War Veteran. He was an Inspector in Quality Control for Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis for 37 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the UAW. He enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, gardening and attending the grandkids sporting events.

Delbert is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Nina Jean (Stahl) Collins of Camby; two daughters, Lorri (Jeff) Jones of Camby and Dianne Collins Means of Mooresville; seven grandchildren, Tricia, Jeff, Olivia, Joshua, Kyle, Heather, and Stephanie; nine great-grandchildren, Braxton, Kwinten, Brooklyn, Kamden, Kooper, Ty, Lux, Joshua and Sydney; and a sister, Betty (Joanne Pryor) Collins of Greenwood. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Earl and Mabel B. Collins; two sisters, Jean Hunter and Mary Frances McKnight Beach; and a brother, Bobby Collins.

Family and friends may gather from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 and from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary, 4165 E. Allison Road Mooresville, IN 46158. Pastor Rob Mehner will officiate the 10:30 a.m. celebration of life service on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary. Delbert will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
