David Mark Russell, 59, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Tuesday, December 20th, 2022. He was born April 3rd, 1963 in Indianapolis to his parents John and Carrie Virginia (Williams) Russell. He married Doris Lorraine (Engle) Russell on September 18th, 1982. He was a resident of Indianapolis for most of his life.

David is survived by his wife, Doris Lorraine (Engle) Russell of Indianapolis; two sons: Nickolas Russell of Indianapolis and Dale (Jennifer Boger) Russell of Indianapolis; one daughter, Virginia Russell of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; six siblings; and several nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by both of his parents; one brother; and three sisters in law.

David was a 1981 graduate of Decatur Central High School. He was a Brick Mason for Perkins Masonry for 40 years. David was a history enthusiast, as well as being an avid collector of sports cards and ball mason jars. He was known by many as a kind soul that always put others before himself. David never got angry and always looked for the light in others.

Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
