Claude D. Lumpkin, 84, of Monrovia, IN died April 3, 2005. He was born October 5, 1920 to the late Charley and Gracie (Pike) Lumpkin. He married the late Ethel Irene (Plummer) Lumpkin March 20, 1956. He was a 1938 Graduate of Monrovia High School. He was a navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Monrovia Christian Church. He was a 50 year member of the Monrovia Masonic Lodge and Monrovia VFW. He was a farmer in Animals and Grain all of his life.

He is survived by 2 Daughters: Linda McFarland of Monrovia, IN; Jo Ann Lynch of Indianapolis, IN; 4 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister: Florence Hobson of Modoc, IN. He is preceded in death by 4 Brothers and 1 sister.

Visitation will be 2-8pm Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at Jones Family Mortuary. Funeral will be at 10:30am Thursday, April 7, 2005 at Jones Family Mortuary. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Monrovia, IN. Memorial Contributions can be made to Monrovia Christian Church.
