Obituary for Clarence Mills

Clarence Mills, 95, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 16th, 2020 surrounded by family. He was born April 17th, 1925 in Barbourville, Kentucky to his parents, Silas and Lilly (Broughton) Mills, where he lived for 20 years. He married Pauline (Lawrence) Mills on November 28th, 1948. He was a resident of Indianapolis for most of his life.

Clarence was survived by his two sons: Clarence (Donna) Mills Jr. of Kentucky and David (Jo) Mills of Mooresville; one daughter, Kathy (Mike) Pulliam of Mooresville; five grandchildren: Mike, Duane and Marty Mills, and Jeremy and Chase Taylor; and several great grandchildren. Clarence is preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife, Pauline (Lawrence) Mills; one grandson, Jim Mills; three brothers; and three sisters.

Clarence was a WWII Army Vet who was apart of the 35th Infantry who supported General George Patton's Tank Division. He was a Crane Operator for Chrysler Foundry for 31 years before retiring in 1980. Clarence was also a self employed home builder. He was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church. Clarence loved traveling and spending time with family.

Private arrangements have been made with Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Clarence will be laid to rest at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.
