Chester Gibson Jr., 84, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2013. Chester was born to James Chester and Clydie (Tungate) Gibson on June 23, 1929 in Indianapolis. Chester married Mary A. (Foster) Gibson on June 20, 1964.

Chester was a Welder for Eli Lilly & Company for 22 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Church at Mt. Gilead. He has lived in Mooresville, IN for the past 5 years and Indianapolis, IN for most of his life. He loved fishing and photography.

Chester is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary A. (Foster) Gibson of Mooresville; a son, Michael Gibson of TX; a daughter, Karen Jones of Indianapolis and four grandchildren. Chester is preceded in death by his parents, James Chester Gibson and Clydie (Tungate) Gibson.

Family and friends may attend calling hours from 11-12 noon, Friday, December 27, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Pastor Jeff Faull will officiate the 12 noon celebration of life service on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary. Chester will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
