Obituary for Charles William Wilson

Charles William Wilson, 91, Mooresville, passed away peacefully with family by his side on March 4, 2015. Charles was born to Walter Addison and Belva Irene (Hardin) Wilson on Sept. 23, 1923 in Franklin. Charles was an Army, World War II Veteran. Charles married Mary Elizabeth (Weddle) Wilson on Jan. 16, 1954.

Before retiring in 1985, Charles worked as a Foreman for Gammons Sheet Metal in Indianapolis for nearly 45 years. He was a member of the Indianapolis-Garfield Park American Legion He enjoyed wood crafts. He has lived in the Mooresville-Brooklyn area for the past 25 years, Marshill-Indianapolis area for 20 years and his birthplace of Franklin.

Charles is survived by two children, Norman G. (Sue) Wilson of Mooresville and Belva Charlene Wilson of Mooresville; eight grandchildren, Tommy, Tammie, Tony, Timmy, Elizabeth, Matthew, Keith and Kimmie; 14 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren and a brother, Arvine Wilson of Indianapolis. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Belva Wilson; wife, Mary Elizabeth Wilson; a daughter, Susie Arthur and three brothers.

Pastor Bill Van Horn will officiate the 12:00 noon celebration of life graveside service on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin where he will be laid to rest.
