Obituary for Charles Lloyd Garver

Charles Lloyd Garver, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, January 17th, 2022. He was born September 10th, 1950 in Indianapolis to his parents, Bernard Lynn and Thelma Deloris (Posey) Garver. He married Pamela Elaine (Asdale) Garver on June 20th, 1970.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Pamela Elaine (Asdale) Garver of Indianapolis; four children: Jill (Rick) Noble of Freedom, IN, Chad (Heather) Garver of Camby, Scott Garver of Indianapolis, and Mitchell (Ashley) Garver of Indianapolis; six grandchildren: Rachell (Zachary) Munas, Gage (Tiffany Gregory) Garver, Jacob Noble, Luke Garver, Charlotte Cobin-Garver, and Hank Garver; four brothers: John (Kelly) Garver of Monrovia, Phil Garver of Arizona, Michael (Laura) Garver of South Bend, and Bob (Barb) Garver of Madison; and one sister, Patty (Robert) Curry of Greencastle. Charles is preceded in death by both of his parents; one nephew, Cory Garver; and his beloved Pomeranian, Kolt.

Charles was a 1968 graduate of Ben Davis High School. He was a Driver for Consolidated Freightways for 27 years before retiring. Charles also worked as a Driver for Roadway for six years. In high school, Charles was in the Letterman's Club for football, basketball, and baseball. He was a former Youth Football President for DYAA and a member of the Bass Baggers fishing club for 10 years. Charles was a current member of Teamsters Local 135. He played for American Legion Baseball and was apart of the ASA Softball Hall of Fame. Charles was a very loved man and also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and hunting but also loved football, baseball and softball.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, January 28th and from 11 am to 12 pm (noon) on Saturday, January 29th at Jones Crossing Banquet Center in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 12pm (noon) following visitation on Saturday, January 29th at the banquet center. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
