Obituary for Charles E. Aliff

Charles E. Aliff, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, November 20th, 2021. He was born August 19th, 1947 in Oceana, West Virginia to his parents, Ulbert and June Aliff, where he lived half of his life in that area. He was married to the late Betty (Morgan) Aliff. He was a resident of Indianapolis.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Thomas Dickerson) Webb; two sons: Jason (Ashley) McCory and Jason Aliff; one daughter in law, Jesse Aliff; 15 grandchildren: Ryanna, Wyatt, Jadon, Layla, Tanner, Thomas, Kyler, Kayler, Allie, Liam, Emma, Sady, Shay, Kennedy, and Raegan; and three sisters: Carol, Patty, and Shirley. Charles is preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife, Betty (Morgan) Aliff; two sons: Anthony and Chad; one grandson, Tony Ryan; two brothers: Doug and David; and two sisters: Edna and Joann.

Charles served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later on worked as a Coal Miner for several local mines in West Virginia for 20 years. Charles also worked as a Machine Operator for Ingersoll-Rand in Indianapolis for 25 years. He loved fishing and watching and reading westerns. Charles also enjoyed painting and spending time with his family. He had a passion of collecting knives.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 10 to 11 am on Tuesday, November 23rd at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am following visitation at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary.
