Obituary for Boyd Keith
Boyd Keith, 84, of Mooresville, passed away Monday, December 28th, 2020. He was born July 6th, 1936 in Monticello, Kentucky to his parents, Owen and Clida (New) Keith. He married Joyce (Rosenbaum) Keith on March 16th, 1956. He was raised in Gosport area and a resident of Mooresville for most of his life.
Boyd is survived by his one son, Joseph (Cindy) Keith of Mooresville; one daughter, Julie (Sonny Johns) Keith of Camby; six grandchildren: Josh, Jamie, Michael, Brandy, Tiffany, and Ashley; several great grandchildren; three great great grandsons; three brothers: Eugene, Charles, and Dan Keith; and three sisters: Patty Keith, Donna Dunbar, and Cheryl Baker. Boyd is preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife, Joyce (Rosenbaum) Keith; two sons: Randall and Rusty Keith; two brothers: Horace and Jimmy Keith; and one sister, Audrey Pearl Collier.
Boyd was a Heavy Equipment Operator for over 40 years for Huber, Hunt and Nichols, Hunt Construction in Indianapolis. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 103. Boyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and camping. He loved spending time with family and was always ready to help anyone do anything.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 2 to 6 pm on Monday, January 4th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Private services will be held on Tuesday, January 5th at the funeral home. Boyd will be laid to rest at Chambersville Cemetery in Spencer, Indiana.
With the new instructions issued by the State allowing gatherings up to 25 people, we welcome friends to pay respects while continuing to follow social distancing guidelines and proper mask wearing. You may be asked to wait outside the building as we comply with this mandate.
