Obituary for Bob (Beaver) Kidwell

Bob "Beaver" Kidwell, Indianapolis, 75, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 12, 2012 in St. Francis Hospital South. Bob was born in Indianapolis on July 22, 1936 to the late Jesse Carl and Viola P. (Cloud) Kidwell. Bob married Peggy E. (Trackwell) Kidwell on October 4, 2003 and was previously married to the late Patricia L. (Wilson) Kidwell.

Bob lived all of his life in Indianapolis. He served in the Marines. He was a truck driver for Preston 151 and Suburban in Indianapolis for 36 years. He was a member, Elder, greeter and Sunday School Director of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church in Indianapolis. He was also Director of the Bent Nail Crew. Bob was a member of Teamsters Union Local #135. He was the "Rock" of the family. Bob was an extremely loving and devoted husband, father, papaw, uncle and friend. He was loved by all.

Bob is survived by his wife; 2 children: Steve (Kim) Kidwell of Indianapolis and Ruth (Tom) Harper of Mooresville; 5 grandchildren: Jeremy, Jon, Jamie, Sarah and Heather; 3 great grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; special brother in law and sister in law, Dennis and Dorothy Trackwell.

Friends may call from 2-8pm, Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville and 10-11am, Monday, April 16, 2012 at Pleasant Heights Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Pastor Dave Richards will officiate the 11am service on Monday, April 16, 2012 also at Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. Bob will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis. Memorial contributions may be made to American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852-3914.
