Obituary for Beulah A. Ingram (Zike)

Beulah A. (Zike) Ingram, 97, of Avon passed away Sunday, December 27th, 2020. She was born September 8th, 1923 in Cincinnati, Ohio to her parents, Samuel and Grace (Mills) Zike. She married Alexander J. "Alex" Ingram on July 14th, 1945. Beulah was a past resident of Harrodsburg for 23 years before living in Long Beach, Indiana for 17 years. She was a resident of the Indianapolis area since 1967.

Beulah is survived by her two daughters: Beatrice "Bea" Tate of Avon and Carol D. (Don) Thompson of Avon; six grandchildren: Cheri Fox, Cristopher Tate, Aaron Tate, Stephanie Reed, Craig Thompson, and Jason Thompson; 11 great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. Beulah is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Alexander J. "Alex" Ingram; one daughter, Debbie Owens; three sisters: Daisy Strain, Annabelle Southern, and Grace Ruth Nellinger; one granddaughter, Karen Leigh Wilson; and one great grandson, Devon Owens.

Beulah was a 1941 graduate of Bloomington High School. She was a Homemaker, but during WWII she worked for RCA as an inspector from 1942-1945 in Bloomington as an assembly line worker. Beulah also worked retail sales for Singer and several boutique dress shops. She was an avid Bridge player and enjoyed puzzles and word games. Beulah loved music from her youth and spending time with family.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 10am to 12pm (noon) on Saturday, January 2nd at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 12pm (noon) following visitation. Beulah will be laid to rest at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg with a burial at 2 pm.

With the new instructions issued by the State allowing gatherings up to 25 people, we welcome friends to pay respects while continuing to follow social distancing guidelines and proper mask wearing. You may be asked to wait outside the building as we comply with this mandate.
