Obituary for Beulah E. Christy (Sheets)

Beulah E. "Betty" (Sheets) Christy, 92, of Greenwood, passed away Sunday, July 11th, 2021. She was born May 4th, 1929 in Mooresville to her parents, James and Zula (Shane) Sheets. She married Harold E. Christy on April 22nd, 1988. Betty was formerly a resident of Mooresville, Indiana.

Betty is survived by her two sons: Dennis (Bonnie) Morrow of Oklahoma and Randy (Theresa) Morrow of Greenwood; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one brother, Sonny Sheets of Florida; and two sisters: Lilly Cook of Monrovia and Alice Wade of Plainfield. Betty is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Harold E. Christy; and six siblings.

Betty was a Factory Worker for Western Electric in Indianapolis for 37 years. She was a member of Plainfield Christian Church. Betty enjoyed ballroom dancing as a young lady and loved crocheting. She was not only a woman who cared and loved her family and God, but others as well her entire lifetime. Our memories include your black coffee by the pots, the Lawrence Welk Show, and beautiful homemade afghans that keep us warm and toasty. You will be remembered each time we see or hear these things, as well as a million more, because of you touching each of our lives. Many of your acts have been passed down to continue your love to others - pressing money into someone's palm (in case they need it!); purchasing coats, gloves, boots each winter for the grands; a dish of chocolate candies, ice cream, chocolate milk or all of them each visit. Although you have left us for heaven, we will remember you each day through the love you showed us during a lifetime.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 10:30 to 11:30 am on Saturday, July 17th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, July 17th at the funeral home. Betty will be laid to rest next to her husband at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.

Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to American Cancer Society, 5635 W 96th St Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278 or Plainfield Christian Church, 800 Dan Jones Rd, Plainfield, IN 46168
