Obituary for Betty J. Snyder

Betty J. Snyder, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2014. Betty was born to John and Lottie (North) Gordon on Dec. 30, 1933 in Corinth, KY. Betty married Charles W. Snyder.

Betty was a Homemaker. Betty enjoyed quilting, cooking, playing Bingo and spending time with family. Betty lived in Indianapolis for 20 years, Waverly for 18 years, Adams for 17 years and 16 years in her birthplace of Corinth, KY.

Betty is survived by seven children, Floyd Snyder of Indianapolis, Barbara Ricketts of Mooresville, Janet Horner of Brownsburg, David Snyder of AL, William Snyder of VA, Dorothy Jones of Indianapolis and Jeff Snyder of Mooresville; 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Eloise Moore of Indianapolis and Rita Gordon of TN. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lottie (North) Gordon; her husband, Charles W. Snyder; a brother, Charles Gordon; a sister, Mildred Downing; and a grandson, Steven Snyder.

Family and friends may gather from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 and 9-10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Bill Scott will officiate the 10 a.m. celebration of life service on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014. Betty will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
