Obituary for Betty L. Garard

Betty L. Garard, 83, passed away on September 6, 2012 in St. Francis Hospital South. She was born on March 15, 1929 in Indianapolis to the late Forest and Alice (Tinsley) Wells. Betty had been married to the late Chuck Marchwinski and previously to the late Vernon G. Garard.

Betty lived in Indianapolis for 50 years and in Mooresville since 1983. She was an Assistant Personel Manager for Balkamp Inc in Indianapolis for 42 years, retiring in 1997. She was currently a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Mooresville VFW.

Betty is survived by her son, John (Trudy) Appleby of Georgia; 2 daughters: Terry (William) Creeth of Indianapolis and Peggy Mobley of Beech Grove; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her 3 husbands and brother Donald Wells.

Friends may call 4-8pm, Tuesday, September 11, 2012 and 9-10am, Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 10am, Wednesday, September 12, 2012 with Dave Thurman officiating. Betty will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery.
