Obituary for Gerald A. Simon
Gerald A. Simon, 63, of Mooresville, went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2019 with his loving family by his side. He was born to Henry and Mary (Engle) Simon on December 28, 1955 in Indianapolis. He married Pamela (Culbertson) Simon on August 2, 1980.
Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Pamela Simon of Mooresville; three loving children, Deborah (Steven Howe) Simon of Ladoga, Jeremy (Amanda) Simon of Plainfield and Joseph (Kari) Simon of VA; eight loving grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Joseph, Emma, Isaiah, Karenza, Joshua and Bailey; six sisters; and four brothers. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother; two sisters; and one granddaughter.
Gerald was a licensed Plumber for 40 years. He was an excellent husband, father and grandfather. He was tough as nails and a hard worker. He was a Christian man without a selfish bone in his body. He lived in Mooresville for the past 25 years and his birthplace of Indianapolis for 38 years.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 4-8 p.m on Thursday, April 4th and 9-10 a.m on Friday, April 5th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Pam's brother, Mike Winters, will officiate Gerald's celebration of life service at 10 a.m on Friday, April 5th at Jones Family Mortuary. Gerald will be laid to rest in Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.
