A Man to Respect, A Life to Admire, Beloved Husband and Dad, Earl L. Arnold

Earl L. Arnold passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Husband to Florence “Sue” Arnold, father to 5 children, Curtis (Beverly), Daniel (Betty), Ameliann (Tim) Browder, Belinda (John) Scott, and Earl Thomas (Kim). Earl is also survived by 10 grandkids, 14 great grandkids, 3 great-great grandkids, and 2 on the way. He was born on June 22, 1935 to Frederick E. and Beatrice E. Arnold, both deceased. He had 3 brothers Charles (deceased), Robert (Charlotte, deceased)(Paula) and Frederick (Mary) Arnold of Melbourne, FL.

Earl graduated from Decatur Central HS in 1953. He married his high school sweetheart on Feb 8, 1954 and was her loving husband, best friend, and provider for 64 years. He worked many years in the construction field for Baker Forms, Duffee Forms and F.A. Wilhelm Construction, retiring in 1999.

Earl enjoyed music, camping, traveling, hunting, and life spent with his family. His family would like to thank all who took care of him in his last days. You did a great job but God needs him to help build some things for him right now. Love, Sue

Family and friends may gather to pay their respects from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, April 13th and 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 14th in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Rick Miller will officiate Earl's celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 in Jones Family Mortuary. Earl will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
