George W. Foster Sr., 66, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was born on September 12, 1951 to Starling and Ina (Newkirk) Foster in Indianapolis. He graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1970. He married Anna C. (Ayers) Foster on October 27, 1984.

George was a Delivery Driver for Colonial Bakery in Indianapolis for 28 years. He was a huge John Wayne fan and enjoyed watching old time movies. He had an outgoing personality and was a friend to everyone he met.

George is survived by one son, George (Terri) Foster Jr. of Speedway; four stepchildren, William (Amanda) Hines II, Kevin Hines, Stacey (Ron) Webster, Jason Hines; eight grandchildren; a brother, Steve (Angie) Foster of Indianapolis; and a sister, Kathy (David) Cobb of Indianapolis. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sisters, Charlotte and Jewel Foster; and a brother, Paul Foster.

Pastor John Dunaway will officiate George's celebration of life service at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville with calling one hour prior to service. George will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
