John J.  Carney III
John J. Carney III, 59, Mooresville, IN passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at his home. John was born in Terre Haute, IN on June 10, 1958 to John J. Carney and Jeanette (Thomson) Carney. He lived three years in Indianapolis and in Mooresville since 1961. John was a 1977 graduate of Mooresville High School.

John was a truck driver for Greendell Farms for five years; he attended St. Thomas More Catholic Church; loved to race go-carts and anything that had wheels; he was an avid golfer; and most of the time had a better way of doing things.

John is survived by his mother, Jeanette (Thomson) Carney of Mooresville; three sisters: Cathy (Tom) Austin of Brownsburg, Mary Beth (Rick) Brown of Mooresville and Julie (Jeff) Small of Ohio; niece, Caitlin Brown; two nephews: Conor Brown and Greg Small; several extended family members and special friends; as well as a son, Russell Carney and two grandchildren. John is preceded in death by his father, John J. Carney.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, 4161 East Allison Rd. Mooresville, IN 46158 which is next to Jones Family Mortuary. Dave Ellis will lead the Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m. following the visitation. Fellowship time will follow the service until 5 p.m. at the banquet center. John's wishes were to be cremated following the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville.
