Obituary for Paul D. Thomas

Paul D. Thomas, 69, of Ellettsville, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2017 with his loving family by his side. He was born to Francis Paul and Genevieve Pearl (Munden) Thomas on December 6, 1947 in Indianapolis. He was a graduate of Washington High School. He served our country honorably by serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He married Sharon Joyce (Breedlove) Thomas on May 21, 1968.

Paul was a foundry worker for Navistar. He owned and operated Custom Builders and Remodelers for 29 years. He was a member of UAW Local 226. He loved horses and was a jack of all trades and master of none. He lived in Ellettsville since 1993 but lived most of his life in Indianapolis.

Paul is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon Joyce Thomas of Ellettsville; two daughters, Cammie (David) Gregory of Martinsville and Paula Casillas of Paragon; four grandchildren, Kasie (Joe) Hunley, Randi (Matt) Freund, Kyle (Sommer) Gregory and Dylan Anthony Casillas; one great-grandson, Waylan Gregory; and a sister, Helen Riley of KY. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Phillip Gene Thomas.

Pastor Jim Taylor will officiate Paul's celebration of life memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 with calling hours starting at 10 a.m. in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville.
