Barry Eugene "Bear"  Johnston
Barry Eugene "Bear" Johnston, 64, of Anderson, passed away peacefully as he went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2017, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Robert Eugene and Mary Elizabeth "Eadie" (Ashley) Johnston on October 19, 1952 in Winchester. He graduated from Highland High School (Anderson) in 1970. After meeting in 1983, he married Diana L. (Cooper) Johnston on February 14, 1990.

For the past 10 years, Barry has been a truck driver for Carter Express. He enjoyed golf, online poker and his furry friend, Sophie. He was a selfless, wonderful man. He had a big sense of humor and loved to tease everyone. He lived in Anderson for the past 20 years and Indianapolis for most of his life.

Barry is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Diana Johnston of Anderson; five loving children, Michael E. Johnston, Marc E. Johnston, Chad Barnes, Jeremy Barnes and Nicole Goad; mother, Mary Elizabeth "Eadie" Johnston; six grandchildren, Kira Goad, Corbin Barnes, Kalynn, Kilby and Kenzie Goad, Cael Barnes and Brienna Barnes; and a sister, Teresa (Robert) Danner. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Eugene Johnston.

Rev. Dr. Barbara Berry will officiate Barry's celebration of life service at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2017 with calling starting at 12 noon in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Barry will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
