Mary F.  Martin (Staten)
Mary F. (Staten) Martin, 84, of Needham, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2017. Mary was born to Herman F. and Gertrude L. (Smith) Staten on September 26, 1932 in Bowling Green, KY.

Mary was an assembly line worker for Western Electric in Indianapolis for over 20 years, retiring in 1984. She enjoyed kids and spending time with her family. She had a huge heart. She lived in Needham for the past 45 years.

Mary is survived by her boyfriend of eight years, Donald Simmons of Camby; a sister, Linda (Larry) Ross of McCordsville; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton W. Martin; previous spouse, Joseph N. Boyd; a daughter, Lisa D. (Jon) Fraser; a brother, Herman E. Staten; and two sisters, Ina L. Kittle and Julia L. Hopkins.

Family and friends are invited to gather for calling hours from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 and 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Seth Amerine will officiate Mary's celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 in Jones Family Mortuary. Mary will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery, Mooresville.
