Robert James "Bob" Smith, 44, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away July 9, 2017. Bob was born March 22, 1973. Bob graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1992. Bob was most recently employed at Trinity Security. He enjoyed history and politics.

Bob is survived by his mother, Suzanne K. Smith of Indianapolis; son, Brian Alan Smith; daughter, Christin Faith Hope Smith; and siblings: Darren Taylor, Mike (Corrie) Stevens, Jimmy (Sherry) Smith, Marianne (Tony) Brown, and Rex (Lori) Smith. Bob was preceded in death by his father, James (Jim) R. Smith. Bob was also very fond of all his nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 12 pm - 2 pm, Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Billy Rose will officiate the celebration of life service at 2 pm at the funeral home. Bob will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
