Paul Byrnes Jr., 57, of Mooresville, passed away on April 15, 2017. Paul was born to Leroy Paul Sr. and Charlotte M. (Holland) Byrnes on July 25, 1959 in Indianapolis. He graduated from Mooresville High School in 1977 where he was state wrestling champion and was inducted into the Mooresville High School Hall of Fame.

Paul was a truck driver for Roadway Express for 15 years and Hostess Bakery for 15 years, retiring in 2010. Paul was a member of First Baptist Church in Mooresville. He coached little league softball for 10 years. He enjoyed fishing and loved his 2006 Ford Mustang. He especially loved spending time with his family. He lived in Mooresville for most of his life.

Paul is survived by his father, Leroy Paul Byrnes Sr. of Mooresville; girlfriend, Debbie Spears of Mooresville; three children, Allison Watters of Mooresville, Kelsey Byrnes of Fl and Jordan Byrnes of Mooresville; four grandchildren, Eric Brickley, Gavin Watters, Tori Watters and Emberlyn Watters; a brother, Jeff (Linda) Byrnes of Mooresville; and a sister, Rhonda (Bill) Chabra of Mooresville. He is preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Byrnes; a daughter, Teanna Dawn Byrnes; and three grandchildren, Isaac Watters, Kyle Brickley and Tailin Scott.

Family and friends may gather to pay their respects from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19 and 9-10 a.m. on Thursday, April 20 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Lawrence Byrnes will officiate Paul's celebration of life service at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home. Paul will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
