Obituary for Clancy E. Fishero

Clancy E. Fishero, 91, of Camby, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2017, with his loving family by his side. He was born to Clifford and Dorothy (Leonard) Fishero on July 23, 1925 in Indianapolis. He served honorably in the US Navy during World War II. He married the loved of his life, Kathleen (Utterback) Fishero on February 21, 1948.

Clancy was a driver for Anderson Motor and OK Trucking in Indianapolis for 41 years, retiring in 1990. He was a long time member of Kingsway Christian Church and most recently attended Camby Community Church. He was a member of DESA (Destroyer Escort Sailors Association), USS Block Island Association and Teamsters Local #135. He loved traveling all over the world and reminiscing with World War II Veterans. Amongst his travels, going on an Honor Flight was the highlight of his life. He lived in Indianapolis for most of his life.

Clancy is survived by his loving wife of nearly 69 years, Kathleen Fishero of Camby. He is also survived by five of seven children, Clancy (Cheryl) Fishero Jr. of Carmel, Michael (Miley) Fishero of Mooresville, Jennifer (Mike) Horner of Avon, Stephan Fishero of Indianapolis, and Lori (BJ) Nichols of Zionsville; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, David Whitted; and three sisters, Patsy Ballard, Susan Wiles and Sandra Whitted. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Carol Adams; a son, John Fishero; two brothers; and two sisters.

Pastor Charles Paxton will officiate Clancy's celebration of life service at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017 with calling from 10 a.m. until time of service at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Clancy will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
