Edna Marie (Morris) Nugent, 100, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully with family by her side on May 21, 2015. She was born to James E. and Rosa Ann (Thompson) Morris on April 22, 1915 in La Rue County, KY. She graduated from Union Township High School. She married George Franklin Nugent on November 28, 1934.

Edna was a homemaker. She was a member of Camby Community Church. She was Past Worthy Matron of West Newton Order of Eastern Star #489, Past Guardian of Jobs Daughters, member of Tri Corner Homemakers Club, Pioneer Quilting Club and 500 Earth Science Rock Club. She lived in the Camby-Mooresville area since 1954, Indianapolis for 15 years and Johnson County for 10 years.

Edna is survived by four daughters, Janet Diann (Bob) Barney of Camby, Sharon Louise (Ron) Earl of Spencer, Karen Lee Boyer of Mooresville, Pamela Marie (Dennis) Wade of SC; 13 grandchildren, David Leland Downey, John Franklin Downey, Luann Ellen Rush, Diann Marie Porter, Kenneth Stanley, Angie Harris, Ronald Earl Jr., Marcia Cooper, Kevin Earl, Sandy Skiles, Kevin Ladd Pierson, Dustin Edwin Wade, Melanie Marie Wade; 26 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great- grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Morris; and a sister, Marjorie Barley. Edna is preceded in death by her parents, James and Rosa Ann Morris; her husband, George Franklin Nugent; a daughter, Janice Ann Downey; two brothers and a sister.

Family and friends may gather from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2015 and 9:30-10:30a.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Charles Paxton will officiate the 10:30 a.m. celebration of life service on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary. Edna will be laid to rest in Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.
